Posting as a new member. Wife and I are planning a camper build, researching our van order, and are wide-eyed first timers as van owners. Our preferred modes of travel have been wilderness focused including backpacking, canoe/raft camping, and recently 4x4 overlanding with a rooftop tent. We are closing in on retirement in a few years and are planning for extended (multi month) van trek and dispersed camping/boondocking. We will order our van this year (depending on mid-year economic outlook in the US) and wish to perfect our build by 2027. I look forward to learning and sharing on this forum!
