Hello,
3 weeks ago I bought a TRANSIT , 2011, 115 HP , l2 version, 2 sliding doors and a WEBASTO heater. It has 230k,s done and is in good nick. During my car life I had 3 or 4 TRANSIT FK 1000 / 1250 and an ambulance (1967 , if I remember correctly) with a V4 engine. I also drove a 2l petrol as a company car. Before the Transit I had a ROVER 25 , a very good car. Before that a Renault Trafic 1.9, 101 HP. The Trafic is also a reliable bus. But now it is a Transit .
The transit is better inside with comfy seats and more space for all the useless things one drive around with. The engine is very smooth and offers enough torque to cruise on the motorway.
Everytime I get a new car ( seond hand) I change oil plus filtre and gearbox oil.
This time, with a Transit, it seems to be different. My car mechanic says the Transit cannot be lifted on his lift. Can anybody give advise, please ?
My wife, the dog and I bought the transit to go to th UK in it. It is an eight seater . We took on bench out an now we have almost 2m behind the remaining bench.
We often go to West Middlands, Stourbridge, Kidderminster and Stourport on Severn aerea.
2017 was our last holiday in the UK. Last year we were not allowed, let´s hope for better times.
