Another lamb to the slaughter.

Hello all.

I have just got myself a rater tatty 1988 mk3 2.5 di camper with some interesting paintwork. Let's call it Bristol camo :D .

I will be posting away later for lots of help as this bag of poop needs a lot of work. Or more to the point I have a lot planned for it should I keep my sanity and have enough funds to maintain my foolish desires.

I use to have a mk5 2.5 di long ago that I stuck a turbo on. It later died as it was a scrapyard challenge-esk affair with limited funds and materials. That van had the bosche ve pump. This new van has the lucas cav colander pump, well that's what I have worked out from the evidence I can see left on my workshop floor.

I am daydreaming of popping in a 6 cylinder petrol engine should I find a suitable doner vehicle. This will also depend on what information I can retrieve from here from other similar projects.
See, I have some medium sized hills here by Dartmoor and chugging up them in first wondering if I am going continue up or go down backwards while still in 1st is a little disturbing, especially in the high grockel season when back isn't really an option. :D
