Asquith Mascot based on a Mk3 Ford Transit

Postby Demundz » Tue Oct 05, 2021 6:39 pm

Hi All, Thank you for accepting me onto the Forum...I hope my project has enough transit in it to qualify for posting...
I'm Dave and I have managed to get my mitts on a 1989 Mk3 Ford Transit-based Asquith Mascot minibus which I am in the process of converting into a quirky campervan. She flew through the MOT after having the belts, brakes and tyres sorted after being SORN for a few years.
The wife called her Delilah (as in Why, Why, Why) and she is the other "woman" in my life.
She has 35000 miles on the clock and runs very nicely.
The interior was very tired and needed overhauling so I opted to go down the campervan route. Raising the saloon roof and then fitting beds and kitchen area in the future etc.
I'm hoping that I can get her to run on LPG as I don't think E10 fuel will be very good for the engine (2lt Pinto). (Comments and advice on this issue please.
