Hi,
I just joined, I do not yet have a TC.
I am hoping to find one used, but with fairly low mileage. This seems to be be the holy grail around here! As TCs are heavily used as work vans.
My intention is to have a simple camper van for two for road trips, with occasional hotel stays. I love the open layout here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPLCcT1JgmU, and that is what I would like to do.
So, In the event that I find one in decent shape, but higher mileage, which seems to be doable, I would then concerned on the legibility of that platform.
Any advice on maintenance and viability of higher mileage? If the body is good, can mechanics be easily replaced at decent costs? I know it is a vague question, but what are the likely breakdowns for higher mileage?!
