Popping in to say hi

Postby Wet belt failure » Mon Mar 13, 2023 4:59 pm

I've found this forum after experiencing the dreaded wet belt failure.

My 2018 Transit Custom is currently at the local dealership waiting to hear if Ford are willing to contribute towards the new engine that's required.
I currently have two Customs and a Courier with the 1.0 ecoboost engine - I must be mad...

Not really feeling the Ford love, having scrapped a 2013 tipper earlier in the year with a con rod through the block.

I've been running businesses for 30 odd years and have owned most vans.
I get that they all have problems (sometimes expensive) but Ford seems to be the only one that routinely require new engines.

I'll stop moaning now and hopefully enjoy the Forum. I also own a camper and a motorhome, so can hopefully share some tips when the opportunity arises!

Funny you say that, best Transit we ever had was a 'rolling skip'. Rust killed it eventually but it still drove great, other than regular maintenance never cost us a bean, never broke down etc...
