Had to register as it seems my old login is gone, understand ably due to the time I last actually logged in.
Anyway back in the UK from Africa after having overland down there in a mk6 back in 2006....
What a trip.
So I'm back in the UK to grab another vehicle and busy working in dreadful London contracting.
I'm keen on the mk8 but it seems I will be steering far from the wetbelts no sense.
I'm rather interested in the 2.2 but I'm reading lots of issues, any input would be great as I'm not too keen on going another brand, the mk8 if I do buy one will be heading to Africa on my my final trip but seems it will have to be shipped over due to conflict in north Africa, namely Sudan
Alternatively I'll just buy one in South Africa as they sell the mk8 there, will see.
Sold my mk6 in Zambia and it will be at home there cos they imported lots of 2nd hand mk6s there from the uk
