New Show

Postby Its a Van thing » Sat Apr 06, 2013 1:05 am

Hi
We are new to the forum and were hoping for some feed back. We are passionate about converted vans, and have recently converted a panel van into a camper, which is built around our needs for surfing and kitesurfing.
We are looking at organising a show aimed at converted and modified vans, covering all vans whatever ur make, size and shape. From the fully converted camper van to the works van which has great wheels, chrome parts and body kits to everything in between. I searched the internet for hours to look for ideas for my camping interior and companies for various bits and pieces. But imagine a show where everything was in one place from self conversions where you can talk to the owners through to professional conversions, along with all the trade stands offering advice and supplies from the usual new wheels, and chrome mods through to the last finishing touches such as that plastic insert for the cargo step. And the main thing... ALL vans would be welcome :)
Any feedback you have would be excellent, would this be a show you would be interested in, I know its a show that would excite me? Also we have a 2 possible venues, one in Staffordshire in a rural setting and one on the coast, near to the sea. Would this influence if you attended this sort of show, especially with the possibility of organising a nights camping for the show?
Thanks for your time, we look forward to hearing your thoughts
Mark and Tony

Staffs would be too far for me, but timing would be the biggest concern due to the amount of shows during the summer months, besides Transitmania at the end of August, there is Ford Fair, NSVA and UKVA shows. Might attract more visitors if more central in the country

Like Alan says, if it didn't clash with other pre-arranged meets, I'd consider attending.

If it is a one day show and a way 'up country' for me, I would prefer the offer of camping before and after the show.

I might even consider a 'trade stand' once more information is available.

All the best with your efforts,
