Any meets in the north west ?

Postby HuMpH » Tue Nov 11, 2008 2:27 am

Hi,
just wondered if there was ever any meets in the n/w.
what would be the nearest if not,or what sort of criteria is involved in organising one. I mean do you just sort of hang around in a car park for a few hours or should there be more to do/see.Would really like to see some of the vans up close. thnx

it is very easy to organise meets. you just need to find people to come along. In Scotland we are getting more and more people coming along to the meets then we have loads of vans usually though we have bad weather but the guys still come along.

cheers guys been havin a good read through the previous meets,I guess what I was wondering is say on a day meet what exactly is expected.Do you just all park up somewhere and chat for a few hours and of course admire the vans or is there more to it.Is some kind of activity expected, guess the best way to find out is find my nearest meet and go.
The weekenders are different in the fact that the ones ive read so far have been at shows or the bonfire that u organise so there is another reason to meet if you see what i mean.
I will keep looking in and see what is organised within reasonable distance for a day out.
Cheers Ian.

hiya guys.... sorry to interrupt and but in! but bear with me! i organise meets accross the northwest for a lot of ford based forums.. old and new models... even had one smart ar$e turn up in a ford tractor!
here are some pics of stuff i get up to!
http://www.focusowners.com/forum/viewto ... 70&t=31407
http://www.focusowners.com/forum/viewto ... 70&t=38611

and one of the later meets i organised is still in the top ten of organised meets in performance ford mag...
the pics are from my "early" days of organising these and as im getting more and more into it im finding more forums to invite.... ive also come across forums who wont go if older cars will be there and some the same if newer cars turn up... each to there own but the idea i have is for ALL ford to join in..
so even if its something i see going on up this way i'll post an invite... the more choice we all have the better!!
but the next one that im doing will be in early jan.. of course i'll let you guys know where and when its finalised!

i hope im not treading on anybodies toes and please tell me if i am... im here to help!

oh and by the way im about to stick something up for this thursday too!!
