I know plenty of places to go but am not taking 10 transit vans there!!

I think we'd need to be very friendly with a campsite, landowner or farmer to even contemplate such a gig. Just turning up somewhere near a road would not be covered by "responsible access" and bound to piss off someone. The style of camping we seem to be considering is the type that causes friction and results in difficulties for those that follow.

Just spent some of my holidays reeducating the irresponsible folk that spoil it for everyone else. Loud music, chopping trees, burning grass with pots, burning grass with NEW campfire sites where one already existed, Litter, abandoned barbecues and messy campsite strewn with plastic and cans where sheep graze. and unable to bury their shite. Muppets.

I trust transit van owners leave nothing but tyre prints. (and we shouldn't even be doing that without permission)

Are there campsites/big hooses that take car rallies or something. That would be more sensible. I notice the microcar club go to culzean castle and places like that?

I know loads of places miles from houses that would be fine, maybe a bit rough for some of the city slickers though

A lot of spots on the A87 road to Skye
Some on the A830 road to Mallaig
One or 2 on the A82 but it can get busy
Might be one or two on the A835 road to Ullapool
There's a big decent spot on the B9176 about 10miles north of Alness

All of these you'd be fine just turning up at but it's wild camping so no toilets etc, some spots have a burn or loch near by

I also know a local landowner with I think 70acres which he lets me and my mate etc camp on but there is no vehicle access to the decent spots. I was there over the weekend, about 15min walk carrying my gear.


Also I will again be at the tartan heart festival this year if anyone wants to join me

can somoen arrange this as, as all of you know i work the weekends and not much during the week which is the opposite from most of you.
If you want I can help arrangements with posts and mail shots as I have done previously. Might even turn up you never know !!

We have been out and about a bit camping with the dog club crowd but since we are the only van its never much a problem
