Factory Tour - Essex Meeting Point & Convoy 14 Dec

We have to be at Fords gate 1 by 11.00am, but we will be all meeting a few miles away at a pub called the White Swan, more details on that later, this week.

Some of us will be meeting at Thurrock Services to travel in convoy, helps if you have mechanical problems on route. It will take about 2.5 hours to travel to the meeting point, which leaves at 10.30, so we need to leave at 8.00am at the latest.

Meeting point 1: Thurrock Motorway Services (J30/31 M25), Grays, Essex, RM16 3BG
leaving time: 8.00am

Meeting point 2: White Swan Ph (to be confirmed)
Leaving time 10.30 for Fords

I know there are a few of us in Essex going and theres room for a few more along the way, safety in numbers LOL, anyone wanting to tag along are welcome

I am dealing with the BBC who wanted to attend a tour i was doing for the transit van club.. I have cancelled it till next year as we were both going in the same month and that did not make sense... Hi Peter,Luke probably hasn`t replied because I am organising the visit for the 14th.It has been in about six different threads on the forum since we learnt of the plant closure.I have been dealing directly with the factory to arrange this FTF tour.I was aware that there was a post on the forum about the BBC wanting to visit the factory.I personally am not happy to have the BBC "tag along"on our tour unless of course authorised by the factory.Can you please advise your BBC contacts of this.
