people have lives/businesses to run, sheffield isnt exactly central now is it  diesel @£1.36 ish a litre what did you really expect :?:

I work for myself, I am not a rich man, I did £70's worth of diesel and almost a day out of work to move one of the donor vans. I did that for the good of the forum and felt good about it :) Its no good knocking others for the efforts they made and sitting around doing nowt yourself now is it??

Well said Muttley :D I'm 7 months pregnant, carrying around what feels like a ton of extra weight on swollen elephant ankles and can't do much else but huff and puff around the stove, but I tried my best anyway. Everybody did :!: Every single person that turned up or helped in any way had to go out of their way and make effort, and put their money on the table for this project in one form or another, but it is for a charity and something good will come out of it at the end :!: We all had a choice - to sit at home and be sarcastic about it, or do our best to help the project, it's kind of the point of it all - make the best out of whatever little you have or can do!

Everyone that turned up showed amazing dedication and true passion for our (t)rusty Transits and that's what was (and still is) important and heart warming 8) . Just to see how they put in literally everything they possibly could, deserves a tap on the shoulder and respect at the least! Working their socks and skin off, made me very proud to be part of a group that have true believers and beating heart for ambitious projects like this.

Hats off to all of you that were there, it's great to see how human passion and skilled hands can make what seems like mammoth project jump from the paper and computer screens into reality :!: You are the reason, why "white van man" will always be a hero in my eyes 8)
