Look in here for details of the fourms weekend makeover project. We will be doing a Transit restoration project over a few weekends and auctioning it off for charity once completed. Everyone is welcome to come along and take part.

I'll be up for it as its in Reading .
Where exactly in the town is it going to be ?? And who is the generous host?

Theres some good scrappies around Reading so if anything is needed I could be a runner .

As for a piece of metal for the floor (16 guage i presume) I bought a piece of 8x4' from deltic steel recently and I could pick up on the Friday.(as there shut on sat.)

How is the van getting down to Reading guys?

Any volunteers to bring it down from Northampton way?

I have offered my van, but I can't tow it myself (liscence) and I don't fancy using an extra 10 odd gallons of fuel quadrupling my journey length!

basically the plan is to get the van MOT'd at the end of weekend 4 - so all the 'vital for MOT' jobs will be listed ( :arrow: viewtopic.php?f=63&t=95646 ) we'll also match jobs up to volenteers so we all know what we're doing :D

but the other jobs - ie. lining the back out fitting the carpet etc. can be done if we get enough people obviously the floor needs welding down before this is done but theres no reason we can't get it ply lined as well :D

but the main point of all these weekends is to have a good time with some good mates :mrgreen:

No,not september now.The unit is not available for that date .I am awaiting confirmation for the weekend 8th and 9th october.Sorry to be a pain.It`s def Reading though!!

Just in case you hadn't already guessed, i shall be there, as usual, to cause a general hindrance and to get in everyones way! :?
So, if anyone can think of a more specialised field, i'm open to suggestions.
Not turning up or any other form of "effing offs" are not suitable suggestions. :lol:
