where is this work happening? i know the date is a while away, but just found the postings and was getting excited......
what engine is it?
i have a small m/c shop and folding machines (sheet metal stuff) so any bits that cant be found i could help rebuild/repair.
although its not portable, i has a TIG welder and can weld ally too.

just an idea being thrown into the pot....
will the van be at mania for ideas and deligation of jobs?

we currently have a provisional offer of a unit in Ipswich - but we do need more available units incase the offer falls through aslo it would be great to have a few offers then we could pick the most central location :D personally i dont mind where ever it is i'll be there for the full weekend camping out

unfortunatly i've got my caravan on tow otherwise i could have brought it down on the A-frame ......... so NO :( but we can have a chat at TM over a few beers  thats when all the best ideas come out
what i will do is go over to the van (it's at my mates) and take a few hunderd close up photos of all the areas and post em up to give everyone involved a very good idea of whats needed (it'll have to be when i get back from TM) - i can even rip out the ply lining so no suprises there

Thought I would now make this an official offer after speaking with Luke and others at mania.I have a Mk4 on an `L 150 swb custom that I will offer as another donor vehicle.Would be good to measure and make patterns and strip and clean bits whilst others were being dismantled.

I also know a commercial breaker ,if we knew what we needed before-hand I would bring it up.

I have pretty good knowledge of mechanics and a comprehensive set of tools including sockets and spanners, ramps and stands, grinders and cutters -mains and cordless.Electrical and woodworking tools.A portable compressor and tools.WHY.

Looking forward to it!!
