Have we got anywhere with electricity? I have been looking in to it and not got anywhere :(

As long as we have valid insurance, the local hire place I use has offered to lend us a genny 8) Just need to know what spec we want.... :)

i'd have thought we'll need around 10kva :?

the things that'll take the power will be compressers and welders - 10kva should run 2 welders at once but when you think about it the actual time welding is very little compaired to the time spent prepping it etc.

anyone else's thoughts appreciated :!:

10 kva sounds realistic to me as well, remembering that we need to allow for lighting and small power tools and possibly compressors as well unless someone has an engine powered compressor

:twisted: :twisted: used to av 1 but sold it last yr :twisted: reson i sold it was it wasnt that deer to hire a 4 tool 1 from ure local hire centre? save loads of compresores nicking the electric and on the pluss side uve got ample of air just a thought :wink:

Hi to all. Although I live in sheffield work commitments at the moment are going to be in the way of what sounds like a fantastic weekend. If I can get away early ill pop down and come and meet everyone as I'm new to the forum.

236 miles for me, 4 hours and 1 minute :lol: . The one minute must be important. I have a baby on the way soon so i wont be commming alomg, would have been nice too. I will keep checking the posts out though.
