I will put this all over the forum until we solve the problem!
We need a pair of front spring hangers for the makeover van, all the suppliers that I have access to are showing no stock with no anticipated delivery date :!:
We need these parts.
If any of you have any suppliers you know of that might have these parts, we need two, in stock please contact them as there appears to be a global shortage :!:
The front spring hangers are NOT handed, ie. left/right and are the same on Mk3, Mk4 and Mk5 models.
If anyone locates any, please pm Luke or myself
Thanks lads

Right guys :D

good news and bad :|

i've got 1 spring hanger - so we'll just have to pick the worst one and replace that - plate up the other for the MOT :|

i'm going to travel down in the morning - i'd planned to come down tonight but i've been ill all week although i've recovered now i still dont feel 100% and i've had a hell of a day at work, i'm shattered i just dont feel like doing 4hrs traveling on my own tonight so i've arranged to collect the brand new screen from luton 1st thing in the morning :)

i'll definatly be there sat, should be AM mid morning :D

before i get there you can remove the worst spring hanger and i'll weld the new one on when i arrive - you can also take the old disks and pads off as ive got the new set here, they can be fitted when i arrive :D

just dont want you guys sat twiddling your fingers

anyway sorry about not coming down tonight - but i'll see you all tomorrow morning 8)

I called in to see the lads and the six wheeler yesterday and would like to say that the effort being put in is absolutely brilliant .

The hosts are being very generous - a really nice garage facility with some interesting cars and vans on display .

So if you have managed to get rid of the 'old bread knife' to some christmas shopping - bob down and have a look . You will be made more than welcome .

Cheers

Once again, a fun, enjoyable and productive weekend, well done yo all who took part :D
Sincere thanks again to our hosts for their hospitality and assistance, without offers of help such as this, the project would not be possible :D

PS. I understand that the bmw garage is in need of a di engine to fit in one of their courtesy cars, perhaps someone on here can donate one
