The date of the weekend makeover

Postby Luke » Thu Oct 14, 2010 6:42 pm

EDIT - DATE CHOSEN IS NOW
Thursday 30th June till Sunday 3rd July

we need it to be a weekend in July/August 2011

say around

friday 22th satarday 23th sunday 24th of July
friday 29th satarday 30th sunday 31st of July
friday 6th satarday 7th sunday 8th of August
friday 12th satarday 13th sunday 14th of August

can anyone think of any reasons we can't have 1 or more of these weekends :?:

clash with any shows events etc. Transitmania 2011 will be a weekend after those dates :D

or any other dates :?: ....... opinions please :D

Now this is going to be difficult   Going by this year's events, estimated dates for next year would be something like this:

Luke wrote:we need it to be a weekend in July/August 2011

say around

friday 22th satarday 23th sunday 24th of July - could be Gaydon weekend?
friday 29th satarday 30th sunday 31st of July
friday 6th satarday 7th sunday 8th of August - could be Ford Fair
friday 12th satarday 13th sunday 14th of August - there was weekend at Slippys around this date

i think we'll need to wait for at least Fordfair dates Luke :( BTW - if done in July, it would be cool to take it to Fordfair too

Why not make it earlyer in the year, say easter time?
The earlyer in the year would alow for max exposure over the show season calender! seeing as FTF is aiming to collect for a good cause it sort of makes sense when you consider bucket rattling!
just a tuppence worth... :D

I did have plans for several shows in August (depending on F***ing engine), I agree earlier would be better

In June I CAN`T make the weekend of Saturday 11th June as it`s the 24 Heures Du Mans.(anyone else on here go?) I leave on the 8th and come back on the 13th so end of June or July is OK for me.

11 & 12 June - UKSV Nationals
25 & 26 June - Buy sell cortina with the Transit Forum
9 & 10 July - North Weald
23 & 24 - Gaydon

I dont need to be there, I could send the bits on to be painted, although I would like to be there
