how about for the next makeover we fit a rear sofa/bed  8)

just reading ray900tap's progress thread  viewtopic.php?f=27&t=84602&p=865866#p865866 made me think we should get hold of something like that and fit it to the van

i've had a look on ebay and you can get similar futons for around £10-£20 :!: it doesnt have to be that exact design :D

i thought if you are coming to the next makeover, have a look on ebay and see if there are any suitable futons near you, then get it, bring it along and we'll copy ray's idea :D i can reimburse the purchase price from the donations too :)

they would need to be metal framed ones tho so we can shorten and weld it :!:

Yep,I`ll go with that, but only if we can weld the back doors shut for a nice clean,de-locked,no handle,no hinges rear end............................................with a special rear number plate of course

Ahh,Andy.Long time no post my friend??

Lukes Tourneo does still exist and is coming back as "The Phoenix" spitting flames and all things related.Think he needs another van for North Weald, the fire van will be there to put him out and now Tim is in a fighting mood.

So when are we expecting the next Makeover, assuming that it has to fit in around F1

Ali, :?
OF COURSE IT HAS TO FIT AROUND F1!!!!

Luke i thought you had enough projects on the go already without having to restor the donor vehicle needed to finish our beloved 6&1/2 wheeler. The Tourny might be great at going round left handers now, but what happen if you need to turn right??? On the other hand, it'd be ideal for Van Banger Racing as long as it's an Anticlockwise track . . . . . . Right???

So, has anyone an idea for when the next of Ali's "Cut Holes Everywhere and Hope it Doesn't Collapse Meet!" is going to be??? 8)

Ho Hum!

as much as i'd like welded up back doors if we did have this configuration it would be better to have them opening so the area behind the bed/seat could be used :D
but to complete the smoothed look we could remove the exterior handle  you can get release solenoids on ebay for a few quid  8) - i fitted one on my lads fiesta boot - works a treat :D
