Offer of help!

Postby dieselhead123 » Mon Jul 11, 2011 7:40 am

Hi transiteers, having spent the weekend at my workshop waiting for that elusive customer to come in and buy a van and getting bored with cleaning mine, it got me thinking! Here, we have a lot of specialized tooling from welding and cutting equipment, spraying equipment, diesel tooling and diagnostic stuff, not to mention the vast array of spares held in stock. Perhaps there would be some of you out there that are close enough to Medway where we are based who might wish to use our facilities on a weekend. We could offer you the chance to use equipment that you may not own yourself, that extra spare part that you didn't think you were going to need, or broke on removal, and some technical advice thus allowing you to carry out work that you had thought beyond your capabilities. If nothing else, we could drink tea and chat, there is even a cafe close by!
I would be interested to hear what you people thought of this as it might be a good way to meet some of you.

I`ve just read this thread Matt. That is the question that came straight to mind for me too.
Not too bad for some of those to travel to that couldn`t make it on the initial weekend.

What do you reckon Dieselhead

That seems like a plan people, just make sure you give me enough notice to have the 'mobile toilet' emptied!

Hi people, I'm in the village of Hoo Saint Werburgh, just outside Rochester in north Kent. Post code ME3 9LB. If this is going to pan out, think I might have to get the Missus on the Barby!

can I propose provisional dates 12/13/14 August? Hopefully enough time for everyone to get their act together?
