So hopefully we have seen the end of winter now so I decided I'd Steam clean the van this weekend, the amount of crap and mud that was lodged behind the plastic trims around the wheel arches and along the length of the van was shocking.
I don't mind Ford fitting these trims to prevent rust on these vulnerable areas but at least seal them properly to stop the sh*t getting behind them, also I have to say the quality of the plastic is crap the power washer actually cuts into the plastic and marks it if you are not careful.
Finally the van is van is 11 months old and a couple of the alloys are starting to become pitted with brake dust that will not come off even with the steam cleaner ramped up to max temp and using alloy wheel cleaner, has anybody else noticed this.
The alloys on my old Mk7 were starting to pit and corrode but it was 9 years old not 11 months.
