R/2015/025 ENGINE MAY CUT OUT - Build Date from 12/09/2014 to 26/01/2015
A batch of fuel injectors may have been assembled incorrectly. The internal valve can fail and cause reduced fuel pressure and engine shutdown with no restart.

Hello all, just had mk8 stop in the road, drained fuel filter the fuel was cloudy. As it was only 6 months old I sent it too ford. They said no fuel pressure and bad fuel, so four injectors and a pump plus labour a bill of €4000 appeared. I see the diesel and was convinced. I had diesel tested in a lab and it met all criteria, it was good even if it looked cloudy. Is this recall for real, symptoms are identical. If so does it cover Ireland. Where can I get a copy of the recall. All info very much appreciated.

Did ford show you the results of the tests that ford carried out to check the fuel?

So I looked on ETIS and it didn't say that my transit was waiting for this to be done. Is it all transits or do some of them not have this rear stabiliser fitted?

Ford as far as I know didn't test the fuel, and when I got results back from my own test the diesel was well within all parameters. Unfortunately a month had passed and the van back working. Asked to see the pump and injectors to get them tested or see of dealer had tested them they hadn't, and the old parts were gone. So no joy at all. Sorry about the late reply
