2016 Reg faulty ignition barrel

Postby bluecraig0776 » Thu Feb 14, 2019 9:13 pm

Went to start the van tonight and couldn’t get the key into the barrel. Looks like the insides have collapsed.

Anyone know if there’s a temporary fix or is it just a case of replacing the barrel?

Mine is new and does it if the steering lock is on, strangely the lock can come on even though you don't put it on 8) it used to be that you'd stop then remove the key then later get in, the only way the lock would come on would be that you'd turn the wheel without the key in but mine can lock on without doing that, I just lean on the wheel then stick the key in.
