Rear tone ring fault?

Postby mcbutler » Sat Oct 23, 2021 12:56 pm

Hello all,

I changed all my rear brakes around three weeks back, checked and cleaned everything thoroughly including the tone rings and ABS sensors.

All was great till about 4 days ago when I get 100m down the road and get airbag light - traction control light - ABS light and a message saying hill start assist is not available!

I use the carly app to code read and it showed right hand rear tone ring faulty. I removed the wheel and disc guard to check it, its spotless with no cracks at all, fitted evenly and rotates evenly.
So, I cleaned everything including the sensor, also checked the sensor plug and cleaned it.
I drove the van and got the same error but this time I also got a wheel speed sensor error, so this morning on goes a brand new ABS wheel sensor. the tone ring error is still present but no sensor error.
I have taken live data from both sensors at various speeds, all seem ok.

So anyone got any ideas?
I am really sick of transit ownership, worst vehicle EVER......
