I had the same issue. (New bulb fitted, but no power to the wire). Resolved by purchasing the USB adaptor linked above and then downloading the free FORScan software. I just needed to clear a 'DTC' in the 'BCM' and now the error on the van dashboard has gone and the headlight is working once again.

Hi I have the same fault but have 10v on the violet wire. Forscan say circuit short to ground. How do actually use for scan to reset the fault code in case this is all I need to do.? I am actually just thinking of wiring my own circuit off of the battery thru a fuse and toggle switch . I can’t afford to go to a garage right now. Thanks
