Only one side indicators working. 350 mk8

Postby jonnylove71 » Fri Jun 13, 2025 8:09 pm

Hi all, I'm after some ideas. On my last trip my indicators stopped working but the dash lights were flashing. This has happened before and traced to F14 on the BCM being blown. After fuse replacement the first time everything worked. I replaced the fuse again, but this time it blew straight away. I disconnected both door looms and replaced the fuse. The indicators and DRLs worked. I metered out the drivers door indicator wiring finding no issues. I repalced the fuse, but now only the passenger side indicators work. I'm suspecting the BCM, what are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.

IF, you haven't done it already - suggest you pull the loom out of the door flexible conduits and see if wiring has failed there ..that's where it will fail due to constant flexing as the door is open and closed, the drivers side will be the one that gets the most wear and tear.

Other things that can make fuses blow are bad corroded bulb holders, moisture or trouble in a trailer hitch plug socket/ connection, if it has one . this also has its own module.

all the best.mark
