Ford transit 2.0l 2017 Adblue + MAF problem

Postby chriizz » Thu Jun 18, 2026 3:24 pm

Hello everyone! firstly let me introduce me, My name is Christian and im located in Sweden, i work as a car mechanic.

Now to the problem, ive changed the engine + injectors after a cambelt that broke. brand new engine, everything was working fine until about 4 days of driving, got an ADBLUE problem on the dash. sure why not... when plugged in the obd ive got a level sensor on the adblue pump error, ordered a new oem adblue pump and changed it, no success but everything working according to live data, then got a MAF-sensor problem, fml? changed the maf sensor, still error on the maf and adblue, changed again the maf sensor oem from ford, still the same problem.

Opened the cover for the timing belt, one tooth was off on the crank shaft i thought YES! found the problem, fixed the one tooth of thingy, still the same problem..

Now i checked every cable every loom and harness, have not found any problem. no obd faults on the adblue side only MAF.. checked the voltage and everything seems fine..

The MAF-Sensor error p1102 only comes up when pushing the engine like accelerating or so..

But still the adblue problem? as soon as ignition is on, ad blue malfunction blinks..

Im loosing my head, ive done everything, checked for leaks, did 100 smoke tests, changed the EGR to a brand new... cant find any faults..

I need help please!!!!!

the only thing i have not changed is the adblue injector(but on test outside the car it seems fine) and i have not changed the DPF

You need to do live data scanner test

That's with a scanner that has more functions than just a reader .

Here they recommend forscan .. downloaded to a laptop

Your code.. can be leaks in the boost pipes .. and EGR sticking or stuck open, turbo vane actuator gearbox broken, stuck actuator vanes.

Live data will determine .. what the PCM is asking of the EGR (commanded) and what the EGR's response is (actual).
You will do these tests in real time, driving with different loads and speeds on engine. making sure they correspond with each other .. tolerance is 5-10 percent. turbo has the same test routine

Adblue .. you have to read all stuff here about it .. i seem to remember things like: update software .. and it takes time to clear the fault .. needs to be driven some distance ...100 km ?

think the adblue and maf sensor are unrelated problems

all the best.mark
