Why? They use DCT too, your 'argument' seems to be falling apart.

As for having to use the paddles for PDK to perform, floor the throttle in 7th and it'll drop to 3rd or 4th in the blink of an eye, no paddle action needed.

Because hypercars are all about numbers, being the fastest.
A sports car doesn't have to be the fastest sh*t out there, it's all about the driver being involved.
If this wasn't the case porsche would never produce the 991R for example.

Agree to disagree.

Why does a DCT prepare the gear above the current when accelerating?

A slower downshift (but if we are talking about hypercars I'm sure that their automatics in track setting compensates quite good) compared to upshift when pedal to the metal doesn't make you slower on the track.

It's annoying as hell though.

EDIT; A hypercars auto might be "good enough" for me (using flappy pedals and driving active) but nothing beats a manual when driving active.

We're way off topic now really. From your comments I find it hard to believe that you've done any real mileage in a PDK. While I agree the Ford DCT isn't in the same league as PDK you really need to drive one, you might be pleasantly surprised.
