Postby laallee » Thu May 14, 2015 2:23 pm

Hi, has anyone news if a low roof version will be available for vertically challenged roofers?

Oh, I hope we get a shorty. (Small high payload van to replace the 330 SWB?)
Doubt they'll be in a hurry though

I just looked on the Ford website, and one of the SWB low roof models has a 1507kg payload, so that must be at least a 330  :D

I just need a suitable replacement for our 300 MWB Low Roof 140, the custom seats look too thin to fit three healthy roofers comfortably in the cab and a bit skinny on the inside too? Or am I missing something?

I was under the impression that the Custom is the same size, if not slightly bigger, than the Mk7 :?

Have you actually had all 3 of you in a Custom?

hi and thank you for the comments. I have been trying to get the old measurements from a 59 plate MWB low roof to compare it with a new custom LWB low roof. If anyone can help me with a comparison between the cab width and load width it will be appreciated. The last thing we need is less room which is why I asked about future availability of a full sized low roof tranny.
please excuse my "tranny language", I am not up to date with the jargon!

Event a lwb custom is smaller than a mk7 swb. I terms of load volume. Close though. You could get a high roof but they look a bit ridiculous. A mwb transit mk7 go for a l2 m8. (Mwb). Lwb in mk7 go for l3 in mk8. If I wanted to replace a mk7 swb I would go for a mk8 l2, not a custom.
