Mk 8 retro-fitting roof bars

Hi all,

I am going to rent a mk8 L4H3 van, and have a set of mk6 L4H3 roof bars (the kind that attach to the side rail, so the bar covers the whole width of the roof plus gap.) I just want to check that they will still fit the new generation.

Can anyone confirm?

i dont think i would rent you a newish van for you to stick a fack in roof rack on it whats up with the space inside

They are aware of my intentions to put a roof rack on, but weren't sure on retro-fitability.

And the space inside will be full of kayaks (light, but high volume).
