Delivery time on New Van

When I ordered my Custom, the proper Transits were well over 6 months. What did did your dealer say when you asked him?

Not a lot really....tried to avoid a proper answer....said that high demand etc etc but its a transit.....i could understand if it was a special car etc but not a van....10 months on order now they said it went on the production line in feb 2016.....why would it take so long considering it was ordered June????

Well it should have shipped then, the dealer will know where it is in the system, they have a live system with order date, production date, gate release date, vehicle status etc. The reason it's taken from June to Feb to build it could be a number of things, there was a massive delay because they pushed production of Customs along, which hit production of Transits, Custom Tourneo and DCiV's, or if you're really unlucky and used a van broker....they're lying b*stards and they only order once they have enough orders to hit the higher discount.

Bought from local ford dealer will push them again for some answers! Already called ford direct and said there should be no issue 10-20 weeks maximum they said, ah well just hope mine lasts until I do get it!

I would be interested to know if you ordered your van with any optional extras like satnav, aircon,glazed doors etc?
I ordered one (with a lot of extras - some of which were thrown in FOC) in November and was told I should be getting mine in the next few weeks.

Your story has got me worried now!

Ask your dealer to email you a copy of the order progress, it'll have an est production date on it.

the excuse someone i know was given was there was a high demand for euro5 (pre adblue) by hire companies etc, hes got a 155 fwd on order with a few extras
He ordered August, was told he will get it late Oct early Nov this dragged on then told van was built late Feb should get mid March still hasnt got it and been told its waiting for shipment from Rotterdam

Hmm doesn't sound good,yes I was told it went on the production line mid Jan and would get it no later than end of March.still don't understand why it took 7 months just to get it on the production line!

Why you forgot specify gold diamonded door-handle... It is main reason.

Good news! Called dealer, it left turnkey factory 8th feb so should see it at dealership on the 30th of April.....well thats what they told me anyway!

So went to sign paperwork for the new van and to inspect it. To find out they had ordered a medium roof not a high roof!!! All paperwork is for l3h3 but an l3h2 has been ordered, dealer has just said it's their mistake,waiting to hear now in what to do now, received the v5 today for it ad well, not a happy ford owner today!
