Anti stall

Postby dumper » Sat Aug 11, 2018 11:33 pm

I’ve been told that the anti stall on the mk8 cannot be switched off even by ford dealers I had a look at the clutch pedal and it has two switch’s one with a plunger at the bottom of pedal travel which turns off the high tickover when the van is in gear the outher switch when disconnected will not let the van start and probably stop the cruise control working as well I have started van up and then unplugged it and van does not rev up when put in gear now I was thinking is there a switch on the gear linkage or gear box that I could unplugged to to stop it reving up when put in gear or is there a fuse or relay I could remove to turn the anti stall off without effecting any outher system on the van or can the anti stall revs be adjusted lower
Thanks

I'd also like to know if its possible to switch this off.
I find it bloody annoying having the engine rev up and down while I'm manoeuvring.
The Mk7 did it as well.
Can't teach my grandson clutch control (learning to drive) with the "throttle jacking" interfering all the time.

I’m still trying to get mine done by ford dealership the first one I tryed a transit centre told me it could not be done this is the same centre that told me they cannot change the diff ratio as they are not allowed to modify it and can only fit the same as what i already have and the same dealership that says my turbo pipe that keeps popping off is not under warranty so I have no faith in them at all but another dealership is taking on the job parts are on back orders but when it goes in they are going to have a go at the anti stall to see if it can be turned off or revs adjusted lower I wll let you know what happens when it’s been in
