12 V out

Postby onahi » Sun Dec 16, 2018 9:39 pm

I've bought a dashcam for my 64 plate Transit.
I need some advice, and apolagise if this has been asked before.
The 12V outlet under the hood above the dash. Is this determinant live ? If so, Is it possible to get it to switch off with the ignition ?
Otherwise I have to unplug and plug it in every-time.......
Thanks In advance !

Yeah mine switches off with the ignition, but after a delay.

On this subject, I was thinking about a dash cam, and would like to hard wire it into an ignition only positive up under the rear-view mirror casing.

Any advice here?

Cheers

Don't know if you solved this but I just recently fitted a rear view camera and took the negative from the light.
