13.5 mpg help

Postby Rikki661 » Mon Jan 21, 2019 11:13 pm

Hi all can anyone help me sort out why my 2015 lwb van is using so much fuel, i have just bought a forscan reader it shows no faults, the van drives well no smoke no leaks , it is not due to a heavy foot as I have spent weeks trying to get a better reading, done a dpf regen at the weekend with forscan, could do with help which blocks live data to read any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Bloody hell thats impressive for a big artic, a few years ago I drove a 7.5t ridgid that only averaged 12.5 mpg and it was limited to 51 mph  it hadn’t even a box body on it although it was fully loaded to 7.5 t 100% of the time.
It wasn’t that long ago that older Scania 143,s were only doing 5-6mpg and that was considered good, maybe “man trucks “ are going to save the polar bears after all
