X think I'll need to invest in some ids software as I now have around 15 of these vans and obviously can't send them to the dealer every time there's a problem.....

I've had exactly the same issue come up on 2 different Transit Minibuses at the same time. In house mechanic couldn't work out the issue, so had to take them both to the dealer.

They've claimed that the issue with the first vehicle (15 plate, 17500 miles) was solved by draining the tank and refilling it with their own Ad Blue. They have claimed we used an 'inferior product' - but we've always used the Carlube Ad Blue we get from Andrew Page. Always kept between the temperature range and always used within the specified timescale.

On the second vehicle (a 64 plate, 17500 miles ) they've claimed that they've had to update software to clear the fault as the draining didn't work. However, I'm convinced this is a total fabrication as the first invoice was only for £110, so I think they've made up the difference with bullshit on the second invoice. If however that isn't total bollocks, then they've tried to charge me two lots of £115 to update software to make the vehicle start, which I angrily told them was totally highwayman like :x

Update on my two, is firstly that it is now three.

Number 1 that was 'solved' by a software update was not solved as the error message came back after about 200 miles. Since then, it has been back to the dealer, and they told us it's a faulty sensor on the pump, and they'd need to replace the entire pump at a cost of £780. They've done that, and it hasn't fixed the problem  Still in the garage.

Number 2 was cleared by just putting in different Ad Blue apparently. Error has not reoccurred yet...

Number 3 (15 plate, 14,000 miles) has gone in today, so I cannot wait to find out what is wrong with this one

Not sure on 2015, sounds early, but there are some MK8 Euro 6 2.2 ( 2200cc not 2000) Ad-Blu Minibuses about.

Hi
I took delivery of a mk8 L2h2 in 1st sept 2021
Had adblue malfunction come up after 1800 miles also electrical wiring problem with adblue system seemed to be intermittent

took to the dealers had the van for 3 days checked all of the wiring loom on adblue system and decided to change the adblue tank sorted
week before came back again,
now waiting for two new wiring looms to arrive at dealership from Germany van got to go back in for two days when they arrive

the technician was great and explained that it had a problem since new he thought as system originally flagged up at 900 miles

I'm hoping this will fix it

We had the adblue issue with our 190k 68 plate 2.0 which the dealer had trouble diagnosing.

Despite having adequate levels of adblue it said it didn't have any miles left so wouldn re-start.

Turned out to be a blocked catalytic convertor.
