Clocked miles?

Hello everyone

This might be a bit of an odd question but I was wondering if anyone could help. I brought my van a few months ago from a van dealer. The van was a lease for the last four years and had 27k on clocks. There was just a few things bugging me.

So on the mot there was advisories at 22k for rear tyres near to legal limit. All the tyres have been replaced and are not original is this normal at 27k?

Front and back discs have a 1-2mm ridge on them, again is this normal for 27k

steering wheel pattern is quite flat in areas and pedal is a little worn.

I have checked service history and it all looks okay it's just these things have been playing on my mind as I though for 27k it shouldn't be showing as much wear. Has anyone else got a van with same sort of miles and are these items worn simular to mine?.

My mates had new pads at 16k and and both front tyres,

All depends how it’s driven, motors could be a delivery van with loads of start stop.

27k for tyres and brake pads is probably quite good for a heavy footed van driver, especially if it's start-stop miles.

Just out of interest, is it FWD or RWD :?:

Thank you for the replys

Its a front wheel drive M2H2

What about the wear on the steering wheel, I just thought steering wheels wouldn't show sings of wear for atleast 100k. They must be making the skin out of real soft wearing material.

Thanks again

My work van mk8 fwd 350 had front brake pads changed at 17k and front tyres changed at 20k. It’s just had its second service this week and had front and rear pads changed at 29k.

My 65 plate is on 20k and like brand new, I only drive like an ald lady though, yours could have been a deliver van and worked hard for the miles. :(

Or that might be normal, it is the base model after all

My 2016 has 27 k and it's immaculate , no discernible wear on pedals or disks. Mine is the tourneo though so has an easy life, no sand or cement on boots etc

2016 L4H3 with 70k. Original Pads and just about to replace the original tyres. Spends most of its life on continental motorways so generally little wear on components. As said it all depends what its been doing in the past

I've got a 65 plate L2H2 FWD, its got 43K on it now and the steering wheel is worn in places and is smooth.

It's had front discs and pads at 29k and had rear pads at 36K it now needs new front pads and discs again at 43K.

I had 2 new fronts on at 32k and both back tyres have been replaced as the lease company just puts new tyres on when you get a puncture regardless of tread depth or puncture location.

I'd say the van is 50% loaded on average and my driving is also very mixed.
