Mk8 transit seats the same as the custom seats

Hi everyone, I have just bought a second-hand Mark 8 2015 transit jumbo. I am looking at putting a single seat on the passenger side. was curious to know if the seats in the transit are the same as the seat in the custom?

This is my first post so please forgive me if I'm have missed any formalities. I did search through the forum before posting but would be surprised if this has not come up before.

Should be easy to find that out by phoning Ford Customer Services, or pop into your nearest main dealer?

Contacted Ford and they told me they had no idea. They said to get on the forums and ask you guys.

Why not try spares and ask for the product ID code for a custom driver's seat, and one for a Mk8 driver's seat. Maybe they are the same?

Hi, i have a custom drivers seat fitted to my 2016 transit passenger side. Threaded holes are in the floor to accept single seat in place of double.

Does the driver seat base fit straight on in place of the double seat? Also, what did you do with the seat belt fixing as it's on the opposite side?

So is the answer to the thread; YES the Mk8 transit seats are the same as the custom seats. ???
And you can also do stuff like put a driver's side box in place of double seat box etc...
