Hi i wonder if anyone can help me. My injector failed overfueled and not only did it destroy piston no4 by burning a hole straight through it. It`s also destroyed the bore been told cant be rebored as not enough tolerence. My question is as i cant have mine rebuilt i am going down the route over a second hand engine. Mine is fwd euro 5 but will a Transit custom engine fit? I know a euro 5 mk7 transit is the same but these engines are stupid money getting quotes of £3,000 + vat + delivery for a complete secondhand engine. Whats your thoughts.

The finis number for the mk8 engine puma 2.2 and the transit custom engine puma 2.2 is 1782109 so yes they are the same engine. According to catcar.
