What’s everybody averaging mpg at the moment in empty vans ? I’m getting 23mpg on short ish journeys is that about right cheers mike

Is yours a mk7 or mk8? I get around 27mpg from a 2017 130ps 350 L3H2 but is virtually fully loaded most of the time

I average 40-42mpg at 60mph mk7 2.2 euro4 130 fwd lwb med roof

Have a 2014 mk8 l3h2 155 t350. Driving it hard I get 28mpg. Sit at 55mph and get 37mpg.
Have found with time as the engine wears in you get better mileage. Also it a completely different driving style to the mk8.

I get about 25 ish in winter 27 ish in summer, But it’s loaded all the time and short journeys. It’s only done 8k at the moment so I’m sure it will get better. Saying that my mk7 only did 28mpg

I did a 140 mile round trip yesterday and got an average of just over 31mpg, that was fully loaded, not going above 65mph and I used the cruise control where possible which I think made a big difference. It must be a record for me

When was it last serviced?
What condition is the air filter in?
Has the fuel filter been changed?
All these will make a difference.
Mine drives like a shed when it's coming up to a service.

Its had a 36000 mile service at a main dealer in the last couple of months and also had the oil dilution recall done. I tend to use premium grade fuel one in every three fill ups

So far as I know it only applies to the 2litre ad blue engines but we had a letter from Ford for both 2017 vans

Yes I was thinking it maybe for vans that are still in warranty the op van is 2014

Theres also an injector recall for these vans but apparently our two arent included even though one has just had two injectors replaced under warranty

All sounds good.
Still double check the air filter as with all this rain we've had there is more than a chance its socking wet.

Also the fuel filter isn't part of a service. It's an extra as I've been told many a time by my local dealer.
