Electric window delay

Postby Gummikuh » Wed Feb 19, 2020 5:42 pm

I have a question, I have a 66 plate and the power to the window shuts off when I turn off the key, not a big problem but when I reverse onto my drive I have a mark where my front tyre need to stop so I don't hit the wall, so I am forever flicking the key back on to close the window.
My company hired a van which happened to be a transit and this one kept the 12v to the windows live after shutting the key off.

Is this something that can be programmed?

I know this is a first world problem.

I'm sure the comment about women drivers means something to someone, however not to me!

Was a genuine question, and not that my gender has anything to do with it, I am male.

Windows usually stay live after ignition off, till you open the door ?
Not sure that’s right for every age,and variant tho....

Which is funny because the radio does do exactly that, but the window is dead.

The mirrors also retract after turning the engine off.

Strange.

Do the windows close when you hold down the lock button on the fob, after locking? Just an idea

My old '88 Scorpio would let you raise (or lower) the windows when the drivers door was open. I always liked that idea, but I've not seen the feature since then.
