oil at back of engine

Postby skipoman » Fri Jul 03, 2020 9:22 am

Can anyone give any advice. Rebuilt my mk8 2.2 rwd and runs lovely. Ive had help and advice replacing vaccum pump seal since from a member which i was very grateful for.But still have small engine oil leak from back of engine on vacum pump side.It goes on bell housing and runs down. Its not rocker cover as I looked at that when I lowered engine to replace vacum pump seal. I just cant get a good enough view to see where its coming from. Possibly rocker cast housing?? Aince rebuild ive done 50miles. Im stumped but need to move forward with this some how. John

Looking again now and come to conclusion that it has to be the head leaking oil where it fits block. Cant see it but cant be nothing else can it?
