Passenger side dipped beam strange problems

Hi guys,

New to the transit 24 hours ago and so far less than impressed.

I bought a 90000 mile 2014 new shape, spotless throughout.

On test drive i noticed the dash warning about left lamp defective so I popped it out and the lamp was blown.

I bought the van, got it home buying two new lamps on the way. I popped a new lamp in and got the same warning!!!! the lamp was on but very dim so I tried the other lamp, same result. Voltage at the plug is 12.75v with engine off and ignition on.

I cannot find any fuse linkwes to the dipped beams so I am presuming they are part of the body control module.

Any help would be apreciated....

Thanks Chris, I read the linked post and it turned out to be thge replacement lamp I bought as a set of two. They are (upon actually reading the label) cheap HID lamps, I popped a standard lamp in and its bright as a star
