Radio Signal

Postby Ashley S » Wed Feb 24, 2021 11:33 pm

Hello all,
I am getting a bad radio signal from time to time in different towns, cities, roads etc :D

Could this mean I need to replace the Aerial and the Base?
If the Base needs replacing does the interior roof lining need to be removed or is it inside the front/cab interior light?

Also.. been looking but I cannot find the Aerial and Base for my Ford Transit MK8 2016 LWB, HIGH ROOF.
Thanks.

This may seem daft but I struggled for a hell of a long time with poor radio reception and in the end it was caused by in car USB charger in box behind wheel causing RF interference.
Try unplugging any chargers whilst having problems.
Had fitted new aerial and all leads and changed radio without beating it.
A quality charger cured the problem.

Also try temp disconnecting phone chargers and dashcams - I've seen both cause poor reception
