Van is now back in as the last couple of weeks have been a jerky, random-revving nightmare. Actually to be fair there's been a lot of motorway running which has been flawless. It's just the junctions that cause problems
I finally managed to afford a GoPro, stuck it to the steering column and caught one of the over-revving moments on camera.
Not sure if I can post this link but here goes:
(Please note; I had to mute the audio on most of this video as we were having a private conversation - but it caught some of the sound when it happened and I think you can tell the revs rise when they should be dropping)
It's only 2 seconds of a fault on this occasion, sometimes it's much worse.
If the fault isn't found this time then it's going for sale. Anybody want a nice shiny 2017 Transit Jumbo (L4 H3)?
