Mk 8 Wipers work on fast only

Hello everyone, i have a MK8 H3L4 Trend 19 plate transit which only likes to have the wipers on fast!!, no single wipe, intermitant or wash, they do park fine. Thought i'd ask those more experienced before i get the spanners out!!

Is it a single wiper motor?? Sounds like a linbus fault and the system is going into safe mode. Possible faults are sccr module(unlikley), harness issue or internal electrical fault in the motor module.

Looks like limp mode is active, it being a 19 plate it should still be under warranty?

many thanks for the reply, yes its a single motor. nope, typically just out of warranty!!!
I assume that the limp/safe mode you mention is different to the drive home limp mode which limits the power? there appears to be no other sign of anyother equipment not working.
i have read that it could be corrosion on the cable connector to the motor, i might give tht a go if i can remove th eheat baffle!!

Yeah the limp mode mentioned is just a saftey feature incase you loose all wiper speed controls on a rainy day

ok so i'm back looking at this. looks like it will have to go to the local dealership for them to look at, unless theres something you can suggest, its typiacally just out or warrenty.

It really could be any of the above, if itss just out ask for goodwill. They may cover a decent amount of the repair bill
