Transit custom mk8 2.2 ABS sensor

Replaced left rear speed sensor as it wasn’t showing any speed readings. Put in a new sensor (genuine Ford) but same issue still persists. I’m getting a short to ground DTC. Has anyone had the same problem as I need to fix this ASAP

There will be a chaffed or corroded wire somewhere on the main loom, if you have replaced the sensor.

I did check but nothing visible. Is the a area of the loom which is uasaully prone to corrosion. ?

Down at the abs plugs, but to be honest it could be anywhere. If there is nothing obvious with a visual inspection then the harness will need be load 21watt bulb or ohm tested.

Hi thanks for everyone who helped and who ever this will help in the future.

This thread can officially be put to rest.

Changed the wiring loom on the rear axle which solved the problem. Cost about 70 odd pounds from Ford. Was fairly straightforward, 20 min job. No abs/traction light on.
