I've never quite understood this explanation
Are we saying that diesel is forced through the injector in the DPF, then 'climbs' up the exhaust downpipe, through the exhaust rotor of the turbo and in to the engine via the exhaust valves, all while the engine is running?
Another, more likely, explanation is that the high pressure pump shaft seal has failed, permitting diesel to enter the timing chain case.
