TEMPORARILY NON STARTING, HELP

Postby stevedude » Thu Oct 14, 2021 5:13 pm

Hey guys, Has anyone come across this issue before.

I sometimes have a problem starting the van (2016 350 FWD TRANSIT) when I turn the key and press the peddle, it basically looks the same as when the peddle isn't pressed, but no Press the peddle sign comes up. the Dash all lights up like normal. just no engine action and no warning on the dash comes up.

First time It happened I was on a hill, and bump started it straight away. all good then. A week later it did it again, Then after loads of key turns it was all good again. today the same.

A few months ago I had the immobilizer is active look in log book warning when it wouldn't start that time. after a few key turns all back to normal.
I'm hoping to find and fix this before it completely locks up and makes me loss wages.
all replies are appreciated.

It could be a faulty ignition switch, not engaging in the start position

When you say "press the pedal" do you mean pressing the clutch down to start :?:

Is there a way to test the switch?
