Help ID’ing a random part

Postby Achillespilot » Fri Nov 19, 2021 7:16 pm

Hi all, recently got myself a 2015 LWB so first post on here. Already found some great info and managed to get cruise control working so thanks to those who have posted about that in the past :D

In the process of swapping steering wheels I gave the main bolt a light (genuinely  ) dunt with a soft mallet to ease the process (it was a bit of a bodge, my fault for not having the correct 1/2” driver for the required socket) and I heard something rattle behind the steering column. Later on I found the item pictured below on the floor. Anyone any idea what it could be from? Presumably some sort of electrical contact… Everything seems to be working fine so hoping it was just coincidence… it may not be related at all.

Cheers!

Not sure but looks like a clip that holds the airbag trim onto the backing.
