2014 Mk8 indicator, hazards, DRL and R/H tail light fault.

Postby Joegrey » Sat Dec 04, 2021 9:53 am

Replaced a number plate light bulb yesterday on the van, and both number plate bulbs no work.
I also am converting the van to a camper and screwed some wood batterns up in the rear.
Now the front running lights, the indicators, the hazards and the O/S rear tail light do not work.
The hazards make the tick tick sound at normal speed but don't illuminate the lights, the indicators flash quickly (like a bulb is out) but again don't illuminate the lights.
I've checked fuses, disconnected and are connected the battery.
Looked at all the places I've put screws in the back, and I can't see anything obvious.
Any help greatly appreciated as this is my only form of transport.

Just to follow on, dash says 'Park light fault' on dash.

You may have screwed into the loom running to the rear lights...pretty common on camper conversions and relining etc...

The BEMM on ETIS will show where "not" to put screws.

Thanks for this,
Sorted it this morning.
As you said, screw through loom in top R/H rear corner and Drl/indicator fuse blown.
Strange they should both be on the same fuse.
That drivers side fuse box is a pain to get to as well.

Thanks again.
