Immobiliser Active issue

Postby Digahole78 » Fri Jan 07, 2022 9:07 pm

Hello.

I've got a case of the dreaded "immobiliser active check handbook" and hoping someone can help me. Its been intermittent for a while but now its permanent and I can't start the van.

I have changed the transceiver (around the key barrel) and swapped out the van batteries for fresh ones but still no luck.

Could anyone recommend my next best plan of action?

Many thanks for your help.

Have you tried the spare key in case it’s the key itself that’s faulty ?

I’d be looking at the BCM connectors, and BCM,for corrosion / fluid ingress next given what you’ve already done…

Also be aware,I’m fairly sure the transceivers for 2.2 puma transits, and 2.0 eco blue are not the same or compatible.
As you haven’t stated where you got the replacement from

Thank you for detailed reply Frag. Yes, I tried both keys with no success.

I brought the new transceiver on ebay. Advertised as fitting all panther engines (which mine is). However, I have just noticed the part numbers do not match. Original part is BK2T-15607-AC but the part I received is GK2T-15607-AA. Hoping that might be the issue.

Thank you again for help so far. Will update when I know more.

You haven’t said what year your van is,
But looking at those part numbers I suspect yours is a earlier 2.2 puma engined van,and the new transceiver is for a later 2.0 panther.

I'm hanging my head in shame Frag. You are absolutely right. Mine is a 2014 and I had the wrong part. Correct part sorted it. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated. On the plus side, new batteries are helping with frosty morning starts.
